FINDING PEACE

Since my adolescence, I have struggled tremendously with anxiety. It started as social anxiety in high school, and then developed into a more general sense of anxiety. For me it comes and goes in waves. Some weeks I’ll be totally okay and thriving, and other days I won’t want to leave my condo to run an errand.

MINDFULNESS x ME

As someone whose mind used to run a mile a minute, living in a constant state of anxiety, bringing the concept of mindfulness into my everyday actions has brought about tremendous change. I was perpetually flustered and frantic, and utterly exhausted by negative people and bad situations in which I found myself. I see this change in myself as a progression from spazzy to spiritual (haha).

Who am I to share my story? This is the thought that has been swirling around in my mind since the idea of starting a blog first came to me. I’m a seemingly average woman, in my mid-twenties, maneuvering my way through life in a big city. However, I feel in my heart that my experience - just like everyone else on this planet - is worth sharing and acknowledging.
